Vol.5 Yushima・Ikenohata

Hey everyone, this month, the walk on the alleys of Tokyo will go to the districts of Yushima and Ikenohata… For me, those neighborhoods look’s more “local” lifestyle, with no major points of interest or flagship places like Akiba or Shibuya. Those places are, unfortunately, less visited by tourists who come to Japan

However, during my visits of Tokyo in company of French or Belgians, many people wish to visit Akihabara and Ueno. And I really like, during our walks, to leave Akihabara and after some left and right, to arrive at the temple of Yushima Tenjin. This very old temple is always a surprise for visitors who can not imagine finding such beautiful little temples in the city.

From there, I like to go to the Shinobazunoike Bentendo temple. I don’t have so many knoweldge of Japanese religions like Shintoism and Buddhism, these religions being very complex and different from Europe.

But I’have always been in love of the shichifukujin and especially Benzaiten. Wishing to success and share my photos with as many people as possible, each visit to this temple is a good opportunity to pray to Benzaiten for a little help on my ambition …
