さて、今日は浅草の路地から墨田川に沿って歩き河童橋までの散歩にお付き合い頂きます。 浅草が私のお気に入りの場所かどうかは別として、この界隈は世界的にもかなり有名ですが 日中は観光客や参拝に訪れる方々が多すぎるので、夜に写真を撮る方がより浅草寺の美しさを理解することができると感じています。

Today we will go to the old alleys of Asakusa, following the Sumida river to finish in Kappabashi. It’s a neighborhood I know fairly well, not that I’m a fan of Asakusa, which I find too crowded and busy. That’s the reason why, I preferred to take more photos at night, to better appreciate the beauty of this area.

浅草は、私が日本で出会うフランスやベルギーの観光客でこの場所を知らない人はほぼいないと言えるでしょう。 彼らにとって浅草は、古い街並みで、しっとりとした雰囲気の漂う場所というイメージを持っているので、 まさかこんなに人がたくさんいる賑やかな場所とは想像もしていなかったとよく言われます。

Asakusa is known to all the tourists I meet in Japan from France or Belgium… They all have the image of an old traditional district and even if all love the temple, some did not imagine that there would be as many people.

私にとっても浅草寺は壮大で圧倒されるほどですが、観光客がいなくなり、仲見世や周辺のお店が閉店した後の夜の方がより魅力的です。
It is true that for me Senso-Ji is magnificent, but becomes even more beautiful at evening, when tourists disappear and the commercial atmosphere of selling souvenirs closes their stores.

浅草を歩くときは、伝統的な仲見世通りの裏にある小さな路地が大好きで、その一画で売られているメロンパンのファンでもあるので、商店街に立ち寄らずにはいられません。
When I walk in Asakusa, I love its little alleys, behind the classic Nakamise and I can’t leave it without eating a “melon pan” in one of these shontengai …

浅草から、ここ最近大きく変化している河童橋を訪れるコースにしてよかったと思います。被写体が魅惑的でそれらをフレーミングしていくことがさらに面白く感じました。 ただ、このあたりは、東京の風景の魅力でもある電線が地下に埋まり消えていることを発見。東京の魅力が少し消えてしまったような……
From there, it is nice to go to Kappabashi which has changed a lot lately, for me… The spot was really more funny than the previous one as the subject was also more interesting and fun to frame it. Some cables disappear, and even if it is more beautiful, I find that it makes the charm of Tokyo a little disappear…
