Hey everyone.
First things first, I would like to apologize for the lacking of photos during those last months. Due to this virus and the lockdown that Tokyo experienced, I preferred to stay home and respect the government rules! It was better to not walk around the streets of Tokyo as you know.
Moreover, I hope you, your family, and your friends are all well and have not been affected too much by this virus. For the recovery, with photo-con web, We have resumed this walk, in the Zochigaya district.

Located just a few streets from Ikebukuro station, it is a walk in a quieter and green Tokyo.
It’s always amazing to imagine that Tokyo has such green and peaceful neighborhoods in just a few hundred meters from shopping or highway areas.

If there are many small temples in the district of Zoshigaya like Homyoji or and many others.  One of my favorite places is definitely the Kishimojin temple.  I am not Japanese and therefore I will not introduce you to the legends that house Kishimojin with an ogress who kidnapped and devoured children before being punished by Buddha and becoming a goddess of childbirth.  I’m sure that you know them better than I do (^_^)

Me what I like is her little candy shop “Kamikawaguchiya”.  Did you know that it is the oldest candy store from Tokyo?  It is said to have been founded in 1781 and offers over 100 varieties of candy.  I’m a candy addict, how about you?  If so, you really need to get there!

And in this case, do not forget to admire the Ginkgo Biloba who is 600 years old and who continues his life without worrying about the virus! Luck…
Take care of yourself and see you next month!
